AusHealthIT Poll Number 358 – Results – 19th February, 2017.

Here are the results of the poll.

What Do You Think Of The ADHA's Plans For Further Development Of The myHR System?

They Are Great 2% (3)

They Are OK 1% (2)

Neutral 16% (23)

They Are Not Much Good 27% (40)

They Are Hopeless 34% (50)

What Plans? 18% (26)

I Have No Idea 1% (2)

Total votes: 146

While 18% had no idea about the plans those that did were apparently rather less than impressed overall.

A great turnout of votes!

Again, many, many thanks to all those that voted!

Doing some research on personalised medicines I found this, it is worth watching the following link and ask your self, is what is being postioned into the dialogue we are hearing around the strategy in the same ball park? Is the My Health Record and all it influences setting us up for success? Or is the direction Tim is leading us in as dated as the fax

Great video, one of the best talks in a long while and focused on delivering not only improved health and wellbeing but also measurable savings to the budget. ahh My Health Record is the perfect complement, rich source of accurate and upto date patient information in atomic form, the fact it is a system founded on strict aherance to national and international standards should ensure safer and cost effective evolution and as a platform a level playing field for innovators to open up and enhance at will. Let's get a working model or detailed architecture out for public consultation as soon as possible.

Sarcasm or fake news. one or the other.
Who says the data is accurate and/or up to date? Mine is neither.

10:36pm, I see nothing in the post you reference as being 'fake news' or sarcasm. It does not contridict any statements in the public domain in regards to the governments central database claims.

If these claims are incorrect someone had better own up and quick smart, it is obvious people and organisations have a need for this data.l and if it is not fit for purpose it needs to be publically announce so other important work can look at other options.

"rich source of accurate and upto date patient information in atomic form"????

As of 5 Feb 2016 there were 4,569,083 registrations. Over the whole life of the PCEHR/MyHR there have been 585,433 shared health summaries uploaded. SHSs are not editable, so if they are updated, a new one is uploaded.

My reading of this is:
there is very little information in the MyHR (i.e. not rich)
and
it is unlikely to be up-to-date (i.e. not accurate).

And on a personal level, my MyHR was created in September and no MBS/PBS data (and there should be some) has ever been loaded into it. My MyHR is both inaccurate and out-of-data.

YMMV.

And what are the "measurable savings to the budget"? I've never seen any reported, never mind being in excess of the $1.5b spent so far.
