This is a pretty clear cut result. It is also the right result in my view.
I really wonder what the 30% who want ‘opt-out’ are thinking. Maybe they could let us all know in a comment? I am not sure why anyone thinks one should not be able to opt-out of using a system that may not serve your interests or needs.

It is always useful to conduct straw polls of this nature, however one must temper the result with an understanding of the very small sample size and the population type it is drawn from - readers of this blog. I am personally agnostic on the Opt-in/Opt-out argument as a more important principle is the one of "person-controlled" content and access.
I have to say I see the ultimate form of 'person control' to just be able to opt out. I also see that right as fundamental.
Shades of gray are fine once freedom to bale out is in place!
