Here are the
results of the poll.
Will The ADHA And The Department Of Health Proceed To Move To Opt-Out For The #myHealthRecord After January 31, 2019 Or Defer The Process Again?
Proceed After Jan 31, 2019. 54% (52)Defer Opt-Out Again. 29% (28)
I Have No Idea. 17% (16)
Total votes: 96
What an amazing poll. A touch over 50% see the ADHA just steam ahead . Another 30ish% see it wait longer and a fair few have no idea.
Any insights on the poll welcome as a comment, as usual.
A reasonable turnout of votes for the time of the year!
It must have been a very hard question as only 17/96 readers were not sure what the appropriate answer was.
Again, many, many thanks to all those that voted!
David.

The 17% reflects just how embarrassing this fiasco has become, who knows what is going to happen there is a complete breakdown in leadership.
Regarding this weeks poll, it would seem the COO is doing all she can to shut down the myhr awareness and truth efforts. Not only are they dragging out FOI they are now attempting to charge people. https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/senate_estimate_preparatoryrefer#incoming-13786
Just such a shame the opportunity for a fair open and facilitating leading national body for digital health has been squandered like this.
And here is another trying to over charge some $8,000 what is revealing here is the ADHA cannot quickly find its records and seems to lack any process or procedure set at an enterprise level but rather lots of inderviduals jumping around uncoordinated storing things randomly and with little care. As they look after a health record system this is a concern, as a commonwealth agency this is a concern, as the request revolves around information security this is a great concern.

Not quite true, we have many processes and procedure, usually a different one for each team. Can historical records be discovered? No the ADHA does not do records management or even average document management. I believe the records team was shown the door in the latest round of “efficiency restructuring”. So the cost of information requests is probably conservative, the requester having to pay for inept records management is probably the crime here.
@9:01pm look at the cost breakdown in the request and you will see it's not the finding of the documents that's the issue in this case (at least not anymore). (Though wouldn't be surprised if they miss a stack of relevant documents as a result) ive never faced a charge this high for any foi/gipa request I've done. Agree with the requester that it seems deliberately unreasonable.
It does seem odd that in the middle of an information campaigns of tens of millions that they are charging tax payer to receive information.
Those FOI charges are a little over the top.
The FOI charges are pretty clearly to delay the process until after opt-out ends. Similarly, they aren't answering Questions on Notice from Supplementary Estimates that were due in December until opt-out ends either.
