The question was:
Will The Huge Cuts We Are Seeing In State Health Systems Have A Major Impact On Progress In e-Health Going Forward?
No - All Will Be Well 10% (5)
Possibly 12% (6)
Probably 18% (9)
Yes - E-Health Will Be Hard Hit 52% (26)
I Have No Idea 8% (4)
Total votes: 50
Very interesting response. Essentially about 70% think there will be at least some impact. One really has to wonder about the 8% who admit an absence of idea about the issue!
Again, many thanks to those that voted!
David.
As a no idea poster I would like to defend my position. Predicting what this government will do is difficult as rational behaviour is not high on the list.
ReplyDeleteThe whole PCEHR idea is not a rational response to needs either, so will they cut it or will they scrape to find more good money to poor down the drain or not? I would think any sensible person would say no, but with this type of decision making anything could happen!
I have to concede I see your point on rationality. We are in a rationality and evidence free zone with Government E-Health policy making!

It may well effect meaningful use for consumers & their health care providers but have no fear "all will be well" as rumor has it canberra has just added another senior executive public servant to the payroll to look after change and adoption!
ReplyDeleteDidn't DOHO contract a Change and Adoption partner for millions? Isn't the job done then for thso emillions? Doesn't NEHTA have Dr Mitchell filling that role as well? Job therefore already paid for again by tax payers dollars. So why do we now have a third well paid person (probably paid less than the other two options to be fair) to oversee change and adoption?
