  2. Get your PCEHR and win a free pass to the zoo?

Well they haven't got that one wrong, have they?

  3. David,

Be fair - those two tweets only show the government informing citizens of the PCeHR and offering set-up assistance. It might even save people money if they don't have to pay a GP to help them.

Having said that, there may well be problems with the way they go about helping people, like coercion and putting personal information on clip boards without adequate protection of that information.

I don't think there is anything wrong with DoHA advertising a government funded initiative. Not everyone is across eHealth the way people who read this blog are.

  4. Hahaha! I think the free pass would be of greater value...

What the hell are they playing at?

Are people really going to be in the right frame of mind to consider the implications of signing up to a national medical record database that will be used by governments for their own purposes while at a carnival with the kids in tow?

Where is the Privacy Commissioner in all this?

  6. The benefits of a PCEHR are equated to the benefits of a single day at the zoo. I thought the benefits were life long.

It shows that Medicare Locals can't actually sell the benefits without some bauble hanging out in front of the punters. It also shows there are the wrong incentives for Medicare Locals who stoop to this level.

  7. It really won't matter that much after the election. The Medicare Locals will not exist...
