This blog is totally independent, unpaid and has only three major objectives.
The first is to inform readers of news and happenings in the e-Health domain, both here in Australia and world-wide.
The second is to provide commentary on e-Health in Australia and to foster improvement where I can.
The third is to encourage discussion of the matters raised in the blog so hopefully readers can get a balanced view of what is really happening and what successes are being achieved.

Outcome Of Council Of Australian Governments Meeting - December 13, 2013
It was really simple:
Essentially no mention of Health and zilch on e-Health.
Although I appreciate your optimism, I truly hope you are not surprised by this COAG outcome...
An indication and evidence our fearless State and Federal leaders have "bigger fish to fry", and further indications the $1B of taxpayers funds wasted on the PCEHR are treated with contempt!
Judging by today's early warnings on the PCEHR transition to Opt-out operations, it appears our same "fearless" leaders are hellbent on scaling up the waste and pissing off the citizens and taxpayers even more...
A very courageous decision Ministers, a very courageous decision indeed!
