It seems that the ADHA has some work to do to persuade this blog’s audience that it is heading in the right direction and making any real progress in its core mission of fostering better overall health through the delivery of improved digital health systems and services.

I wonder from where the new direction(s) for EHR will come? IMO the answers require very sharp political action, since there will be powerful interests at play. The "personal" flavour has failed in its current form, but that's an essential component of a strong foundation. As in "What would I expect from giving away all my health data?". At the very bottom of that list is "Providing more desks, and managerial PKIs, in the health data bureaucracy".
The poll question is an interesting one. Was the mission to re-establish national dialogue to encompass all views and needs to advance Australia and place the strong bond and relationship between paitient and care provider at the core of investment? Or was there a secondary less public agenda to encompass all into a PCEHR constraint with public discussions aimed at marketing a pre-conceived but untested singularity which was more about funding the MyHRr than anything else?
Whatever it was I will be watching to see if the keep up the expectation of engaging at grass roots or will those embraced soon feel forgotten?
