It has been confirmed to me today that, as of a day or so ago, Ms Bettina McMahon is the "Acting CEO" of the ADHA as Mr Kelsey takes some leave. This follows him having spent a good deal of time in the UK in the last few months.
A bit of an odd time to be taking leave with the Senate Inquiries into the #myHealthRecord reporting in the next week or so..
Anyone know what is going on? Is this a holiday or gardening leave?
You can see the title used in this article on the dreaded fax!

Comments welcome!
David.
If Kelsey is on holiday again, then I want the same leave allowance. He hardly seems to have been in the country all year...
ReplyDeleteMaybe Tim is trying to sell the My Health Record concept to the NHS......
ReplyDeleteStop laughing, they are so far removed from reality, anything is possible.
Everyone is entitled to a holiday, this would have been scheduled on a belief the public would have embraced Tim and his mates view of sorting out this bloody country once and for all. Hopefully we are not footing the bill for this trip.
ReplyDeleteAs for the retirement of the T.3x protocols that sounds simple in a press statement. Has the ADHA released the transition strategy? How will they deal with the coexistence of multiple means of communication as the market transitions to secure messaging?
Telstra Health’s involvement does not exactly deliver confidence.
Hang on, so Ms McMahon's promotion/temporary secondment as acting CEO has been announced in a news article?
ReplyDeleteWTH??
"... a good deal of time in the UK in the last few months."
ReplyDeleteand
"Everyone is entitled to a holiday ..."
don't really go together.
I take it poor Bettina will be on deck to handle the fallout when the Senate inquiry report comes down, supposedly in just two days?
ReplyDeleteWhile The Boss is swanning about somewhere on holiday?
Seems a bit rough, or is it just another Trump-style "blame it on the women" game-play
Tim might be nice and no longer lead the vision of a future state to the point he comes across dim. But I do not believe he has any malicious intent towards others in the work force. If anything he is probably being pushed out of the nest by the factions that the likes of the COO belong to.
ReplyDeleteTim does not appear to be one to hang around, as he told the Senate members when asked about his welll documented leadership of care.data. Better to leave of a high before the shit sticks.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I've always been surprised Kelsey got the gig... I mean, didn't Sussan Ley or Health think to Google him and care.data?
