Alabama executed a man using nitrogen gas, becoming the first state in the U.S. to use the previously untested method.

The condemned prisoner, Kenneth Smith, 58, was one of three men convicted in the 1988 murder of a woman whose husband, a pastor, had recruited them to kill her. The Supreme Court allowed the execution to move forward over the objections of its three liberal justices and concerns from death penalty opponents.

I hate the death penalty and this just seems to make it just that much worse.

Call this for what it is - "state sanctioned murder" and we all understand what has gone on here.

The Bible they use in the USA says "thou shall not kill" and :vengeance is mine saith the Lord".

Good enough for me.
