An Internet Speed Problem the NBN Won't Fix

Has anyone else noticed that despite a reasonably fast link web pages are taking a good while to load and the culprit appears to be all the page links and advertisements being looked up as the pages load. Examples that are a real pest seem to be Doubleclick, user counters and similar (up to 10 or 15 seem to be looked up before you get your requested page).

Hey Senator Conroy - can we ban all this along with the porn for a pure and fast NBN!

David.

  3. Use Firefox web browser (http://www.mozilla.com), install the Adblock add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/). It automatically blocks ads, giving a faster page load and less page clutter.
