This blog is totally independent, unpaid and has only three major objectives.
The first is to inform readers of news and happenings in the e-Health domain, both here in Australia and world-wide.
The second is to provide commentary on e-Health in Australia and to foster improvement where I can.
The third is to encourage discussion of the matters raised in the blog so hopefully readers can get a balanced view of what is really happening and what successes are being achieved.

If You Were Wondering Where "Services Australia" Came From, And Is, Here Is Your Answer!
Thanks to Justin Warren:
So it is a simple re-name it would seem and the myGov Portal would seem to be included! That means they are the access portal for the #myHR.
I recently re-read that essential book '1984' by George Orwell.
Seeing 'Department of Human Services' reduced to 'Services Australia' reminds me of Newspeak, "a controlled language of restricted grammar and limited vocabulary, meant to limit the freedom of thought — personal identity, self-expression, free will" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspeak).
Will we later see 'Services Australia' reduced further to 'ServAust'?
You might remember that in '1984', the government renamed its ministries with the opposite of their true function, so that the 'Ministry of War' was renamed as 'Minipax' and the propaganda department was named Minitrue.

Department of Human Service -> Services Australia
ReplyDeleteThey have removed the Human component from the Department. It now services the Australian Government.
We are all going to get serviced.
