I have just noticed we have now started to see some of the submissions on the PCEHR Concept of Operations appear on the web.

I am not sure just what this means however?
“All mention of third party individuals or organisations have been removed to comply with privacy guidelines.” Does that mean DoHA, NEHTA and Ms Roxon and removed?
As of late Sunday evening (03/07/2011) there are 27 published - all of which are pretty short and many of which raise all sorts of interesting issues. Some of these will make the next version of the ConOps very interesting reading!
It is worth browsing what is there already and re-visiting every few days to see what else turns up.

I doubt any of the published submissions will result in changes to the concept of operations at all.
Do you get the feeling you are being 'snowballed'?
I got the distinct impression the person in charge of putting-up the submissions on this web site was chosen for their capacity to frustrate and wear down any interested readers who might be genuinely interested in reading any well thought through constructive comments (assuming there are some). If there are some I think you will probably find them buried at the end of the list and appearing in a few weeks time when any semi-intelligent person will have given up looking to see if there are any truly useful submissions. I never cease to be amazed at the capacity of the bureaucracy to frustrate, obfuscate and divert attention from the essentials to the non-essentials.
Having read the comments published so far I have gleaned zilch value from them. If more of the same follows I will not bother to read any further which I think is what the person-in-charge of 'publishing' these comments (or their supervisor) intends should happen.
Well said Anon 11:56:00 AM. That's exactly what I thought when I read them. They picked the most mundane and superficial of comments to put up first for reasons which can only be as you have suggested. There were some excellent submissions a few weeks ago which found their way to this blogspot. I can't imagine why they have not as yet been published on yourhealth.gov.au web site. Instead we see a batch of fairly simplistic drivel. Heaven help us is all I can say.
