I would like to see better protection in place. Will it happen in the next few years? Probably not, apart from the fact it would take this lot years to draft and implement such policy it might also hamper some agendas. As with the commission investergating the banks, politics on all sides seem out of touch from reality. There is also the response to the dataset fiasco, rather than cleaning up the rules for government the answer was to go after those good citizens who discovered the issue.
