I am hearing the No 2. at the ADHA has resigned, with no apparent plan for further APS positions currently.
Confirmation or informed denials welcome...follows the loss of the Chief of Staff, if true, and seems to be part of a possible pattern leading up to the ANAO Audit Report.

It's never been clear who is the Chief of Staff. The ADHA Executives listed on the web site make no mention of a CoS!
It's also not clear on the web site who is the No 2!
I have also heard the same rumour and hope it is true. On another note the CoS was the right hand man to the CEO, not an Executive role.
Getting near the end of November.... Anyone taking bets on another delay of the ANAO review?
It all depends on whether the ANAO can be influenced by the government.
An internal email was sent to staff advising the COO had resigned with subsequent restructuring of functions late last week. Will be around for a few weeks yet. The former COO claims they have not secured alternate employment. I don't believe it. I expect a LinkedIn update in January, post ADHA departure.
Also concerning is the departure of lower level and long standing brains in both benefits and terminology.
I had heard the rumour but wondered if it was true given her longevity with the ADHA and NEHTA. I thought of Bettina as the adult in the room at the ADHA so that is fascinating news. Unlike the news of the chief-of-staff's exit.

So popcorn please. I am now very much looking forward to reading the audit report. The timing of all this seems awfully coincidental.
Bettina's been around for a long time so it's not surprising she's decided to move on. No problem for Tim K. A replacement COO shouldn't be too difficult to find. Nothing here to be concerned about.
Like Timmy I am sure the primo ist era office has approved the visa of Tim’s appointed COO. Interoperability will be fun. Tim can’t even pronounce it.
Business as usual. Her 3IC can step up.
You might find Tim has lost a big asset. Certainly a loss of political cover. Can we turn Digital Health off now please. It has become dry and barren on the ideas front
but Digital Health is a human imperative. Timmie says so.
Some might say he is an ethical dilemma.

And right you were David. Don’t know Bettina personally but a legacy of disappointing outcomes and failed opportunities would seem to sum up her rise to power. Perhaps after ten or so years it was so.ply tome to cash in those chips and take up a pointless role along side many other ”digital health” elite.
As many others would agree it is a welcome change but probably not one that will make a difference. We remain stagnant and generally restricted by the GovHR.
When I read all these comments I am reminded of similar comments made when Reinecke, Howard and Fleming left NEHTA and I ask myself "so what?"
Going by PulseIT, the acting COO shows just how empty the barrel is.
11:39 PM I do not disagree with your closing remark. However, the new acting COO deserves such a reward. She has worked tirelessly in the background building relationships, earning trust, thrusting knives and generally stamping out any form of forward-thinking or rivalry. This will be a parting gift. A boost to a resume as ADHA takes another step towards being centralised in Canberra and back under the department. Most of ADHA is not seen as proper APS, the likes of Rupert are seen as outsiders. I wish her good luck, don't expect anything, the appointment was made because there is no trace of boldness
