Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year To All!

Just to wish all those who read and comment here Season's Greetings.

It is the discussion and comments that make the blog what it is - so thank you all - except no thanks for the endless comments from would be spammers! They don't make it through - simple as that!

Have a happy and safe one.

David.

Not Google, then. But just in time for a pre-Xmas drop - 'Contracts signed for rollout of COVID-19 vaccine'.

https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/contracts-signed-for-rollout-of-covid-19-vaccine

Data partner Accenture will design, develop, and implement a software solution to enable “point in time” visibility of COVID-19 vaccine doses across the delivery chain.

No doubt a brand new system for logging vaccinees personal details. Or, maybe there's no need for anything new at all, if that data can be purchased all packed & ready, from a data broker, bypassing MyGov.

Merry Christmas David. Appreciate the work you put into this blog.

Not overly concerned with the vaccine rollout, I might have requested DHL extend their existing tracking capabilities to accomodate the last mile. Accenture could have then simply built the data models and analytics, but would not be my first choice. PwC well it is a PMO function so limited risk.

Tracking the GTIN should be straight forward unless along the simply chain they repackage and start applying local bar codes and as usual take months to report them.

I think what probably causes concern is these plans never include decommissioning.
