While I am sure the “plan” will have some interesting takeaways and will be quoted and have quotes extracted from if for all sorts of purposes, as a plan (something implementable) I am not convinced the ADHA will be able to deliver. Partly because Interoperability is a set of agreements between any number of parties - not something ADHA has enough respect to have any influence on.
At best it will be broad enough that any exchange of health information between two entities in any shape or form will be claimed as interoperability success.
But then again is the intent any level of success? There is an entire community built on “almost” and “if only” in digital health
Peter O'Halloran is very excited about the Interoperability Plan launched at MedInfo last week. Will Mal Thatcher be equally excited?
