Having read the sales pitch I would love to hear from people about whether they would use this or a similar service and how useful they would find it to use such services.

I also wonder just how ethical the advertising is. It does seem pretty commercially orientated and you wonder how patients are screened as suitable for on-line care?

Beware a vendor making claims. The only thing they are interested in is their own (financial) health.

The reality is that most people aren't that interested in their health - they drink, eat too much and don't exercise.

Of the remainder, most go to a regular GP who keeps their medical data and history.

Of the remainder, they will try go to A&E or their local clinic/health centre

Of the very small remainder, probably those who travel and/or live in remote communities, telehealth may well be a help.

Telehealth is a niche market, which makes the claim "As we ring in the new year of 2024, it is important to understand how telehealth is shaping Australia’s health care system and why it has become a necessity in our daily lives." a gross exaggeration.

What if the $3billion (and ongoing) that went on the My Health Record and ADHA had been spent on health education?

Even it it achieved very little it would have been more than My Health Record has.

The consulting/technology lobbies wouldn't like it, which may be why it has never happened.
