Time To Call It A Day!

This blog has been active daily for almost 20 years but in the last year readership and engagement has dropped off and comments have largely ceased!

With that being the situation - it is clearly time to do something else with my time.

So good luck to all! It has been fun...

Stay safe and well and good luck to all. Expect the occasional post when there is something that really needs a comment from me. Otherwise "thanks for all the fish!" (Douglas Adams)

Thank you so much, David, for providing such a valuable service to the e-health community over such a long period. Your blog provided a unique vehicle for interested people to learn of new ideas, directions, policies, decisions and events; to argue over contentious issues; and sometimes just to vent frustration at the perceived poor judgement of others.
The archive of your blog contains a rich history of the long winding road many of us have travelled.
Best wishes to you.

Thank you David, and enjoy your retirement. You have provided a much needed forum for discussion and the departure of this blog will leave a gaping hole, as the community does not really have any active discussion anymore, which is the lifeblood of a thriving community. Looks like it's all ADHA driven now, which will not end well I fear.

@8.56 AM There is nothing to fear with ADHA. They will just keep doing what they've always done and getting the same result; spending millions of $, writing thousands of pages of (cut from old and paste into) new documents, marketing poorly conceived concepts about their half-baked all-encompassing, one size fits all, solutions, like My Health Record, paying lip-service to engaging with and supporting 3rd party vendors all the while trying to find ways to undermine and disrupt them. Oh that it were not so; but it is and always will be, until the small, agile, competent 3rd parties, with their superior solutions, disrupt, displace and make the ADHA redundant. Fear not the ADHA, rather rejoice in their incompetent ways and go about your business growing stronger day by day delivering lasting solutions that work.
