Ms Gladys Beauchamp PSM leaves on 28 February.

More senior changes in and around the #myHealthRecord!

Additionally Crikey is reporting she was on the Board of the Sports Commission of Sport Rorts fame.

Good time to go?

The following has just appeared on Twitter (9:20am)

"The Prime Minister will be recommending to the Governor-General, that he appoint Chief Medical Officer Professor Brendan Murphy as Secretary of the Department of Health, with effect from 29 February 2020"

Why does the PM have to recommend Department Secretary appointments to the Govenor-General?

It seems that Brendan Murphy is/was a believer in Behavioural Economics.

I hope he's a believer in evidence based policy - there being no evidence that My Health Record has any net benefit.

To lose one senior public servant is not unusual, to lose two looks like a coincidence, to lose three or more looks like retribution for something.

Canberra Times:

Health Minister Greg Hunt has confirmed that Ms Beauchamp, who has led the Health Department for a little more than two years, will go on leave from Friday ahead of her retirement on February 28, ending a 21-year career in the Australian Public Service.

A spokesman for Prime Minister Scott Morrison said there was no link between Ms Beauchamp's departure and her position on the Sport Australia Board.

He said her retirement had "nothing to do with anything else", and its conjunction with the sports grant uproar was "completely coincidental".

"completely coincidental" oh yeah? Retires out of the blue....??? immediately goes on leave....???

Martin Bowles resigned because he couldn't stand Greg Hunt, now Glenys jumps ship.

Something smells like a very smelly dead fish.

If Morrison says it is A then you know it is not A.
