AusHealthIT Poll Number 572 – Results – 28th March, 2021.

Here are the results of the poll.

Does It Make Any Sense For The ADHA To Be Attempting To Conduct A Cost-Benefit Study Of The National Health Identifier Service 10 Years After It Was implemented?

Yes - You Need To Give The System Time To Bed Down 8% (7)

No - It Seems It Would Be Near Impossible To Properly Identify And Measure The Benefits 73% (62)

I Have No Idea 19% (16)

Total votes: 85

It seems a big majority think that the time has passed to try and undertake this work in any sensible way!

Any insights on the poll welcome as a comment, as usual.

A good number of votes.

It must also have been a very hard question as 16/85 readers were not sure how to respond.

Again, many, many thanks to all those who voted!

David.

David, it was not that I did not know, just was missing a question or two. Not a criticism.

These when undertaken properly are key controls for portfolios. Surprisingly to me was the lack of reference to previous benefits assessment gates by ANAO.

So - should An independent body be issuing contract for and managing the benefits analysis project rather than the body responsible for delivering the capabilities from which benefits are expected to flow?

Is this sufficiently scoped to deliver a robust benefits realisation analysis delivery if value to the taxpayer?

I am interested in why so many recommendations from previous benefits analysis have not been acted on
