A pretty clear cut outcome – It seems readers here see the ADHA as a waste of space! Pity abut the huge budget and staff numbers that get us nowhere!

It was always going to be the case. ADoHA souled it soul to the Centralised unstructured database. The ADHA is a product out of step with the times as as a product it has no real market value or share. They failed to augment the community to co-design the policies, strategies and standards compliance required.

Remember the ANAO audit? The report was in November 2019 - nearly two years ago.

"The ADHA has not undertaken an end-to-end privacy risk assessment of the ongoing operation of the My Health Record system under the opt-out model. The last privacy specific risk assessment was completed in 2017 and, although ADHA funded the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to conduct at least four privacy reviews between October 2017 and June 2019, none were completed in that period.
ADHA did not have sufficient assurance arrangements to satisfy itself that all instances of the emergency access did not constitute an interference with privacy. It should therefore review its approach and procedures and for notifying the Information Commissioner of potential contraventions."
The very first recommendation said:
"3.27 ADHA conduct an end-to-end privacy risk assessment of the operation of the My Health Record system under the opt-out model, including shared risks and mitigation controls, and incorporate the results of this assessment into the risk management framework for the My Health Record system.
Australian Digital Health Agency response: Agreed."

Two questions?
1. Will they meet their own timetable? They've only got about five weeks left.
2. Will it be a genuine, comprehensive audit and include all the risks associated with the end points, especially in light of the recent concerns over the way FHIR is/can be/should be implemented. At least it should make recommendations to guide further development of the so called new ecosystem, the intention of which is to increase data aggregation.

@6:59AM If MYHR is now overseen by Services Australia and ADHA is funded by Federal and State Health Departments then effectively the Federal DoH has abandoned the MYHR and its failure is no longer of any concern to Minister Hunt and Dr Brenda Murphy.
.... in other words the MYHR is a lonely shag on a rock.
