This Is A Major Effort Not To Get Noticed With Important Disclosures Regarding How Badly The ADHA Is Being Managed And How It Is Getting Worse.

Yesterday I noticed this alert from Google.

Google Alert - "My Health Record"

APS employee census results

In 2021, Australian Digital Health Agency staff took part in the annual Australian Public Service (APS) Employee Census. The Highlights Report below compares Australian Digital Health Agency results in 2021 with 2020, as well as several other APS benchmarks.

Download the Australian Digital Health Agency 2021 APS Employee Census Highlights Report (PDF, 1.17 MB)

The Australian Digital Health Agency staff are made up of APS employees, common law employees and a large proportion of labour hire contractors. Staff in all three categories participated in the 2021 APS Employee Census, so results are best compared to those agencies with a similar cohort.

The Agency is focussed on culture and continuous improvement and we are implementing a range of activities, including a Workforce Strategy.

I found it interesting that the alert came on Christmas Day suggesting the report had been posted of modified very recently. I am cynical enough to suggest this is a real news “taking out the trash” effort in an attempt to have the report go public but no one to notice what is says.

According to the .pdf properties the document was created on the 20/10/2021 and last edited 16/11/2021 – so the ADHA has had the document for a while.

The report covers about 25 pages and responses to about 150 or so questions – with the vast majority of responses being worse than they were a year ago. Overall it seems to be a pretty sad picture. As the report is already a summary it is not easily summarized and it is well worth reading the full document to get the full picture.

It is a pity to see such sneaky behaviour from a Federal Agency and shows how the leadership are in denial and not meeting the needs of their staff – indeed are mostly getting worse.

Basically we were not meant to notice!

Comments welcome!

David.

Last edited 16/11/2021 but released on Christmas day.

They may be trying to hide the report, but it will do nothing to fix the problems.

Says a lot about the morals and ethics of senior management. I wonder how many people's resumes that included ADHA will suddenly have an unexplained gap.

It is worth noting that suck staff surveys are conducted by incoming management teams. This does not necessarily reflect the current state. It is though a very strong indicator of the mess left by those who are now infecting another health related and pointless government entity.

I purposely used management and not leadership, neither the current line up or the previous line up have even a hint of leadership talent.

Before someone asks why I am still there - time served in certain professions is important to advance a career.

Thanks for posting David, I am guessing ADHA has a 10-15% annual turnover. As ADHA points out these are retrospective to a large extent. Be great to see Healthdirects survey in 18 months.

Interesting that ADHA is willing to publish adverse reports re it's own behaviour but nothing about the true performance (i.e. meaningful use, value, benefits, etc) of MyHR.
