AusHealthIT Poll Number 450 – Results – 25th November, 2018.

Here are the results of the poll.

After The Now Obvious Debacle Of Attempting To Force A Privacy Invasive, Ill Thought Out, Probably Largely Useless, Insecure EHR System On A Startled And Confused Public, Who Should Accept Most Of The Responsibility And Resign?

Health Minister - Greg Hunt 1% (1)

ADHA Board Chair - Jim Birch 3% (5)

ADHA CEO - Tim Kelsey 57% (94)

All Of The Above 37% (61)

None Of The Above 1% (1)

I Have No Idea 1% (2)

Total votes: 164

It seems that 90% + want Tim Kelsey to go with many wanting mass casualties. Mercy was very thin on the ground.

Any insights on the poll welcome as a comment, as usual.

A really, great turnout of votes!

It must have been a very easy question as only 2/164 readers were not sure what the appropriate answer was.

Again, many, many thanks to all those that voted!

David.

Looking at comments on yr previous blog, ADHA on Warpath - one can only assume that Kelsey and Birch have completely failed in their responsibilities to bring the Australian Health Ministers Council together as required under the directive to create a national infrastructure and system

In one of the stories, Dr Moy blames federal and state politicians for a lack of leadership and agreement on enforcing agreed codes and frameworks within their jurisdictions.

But originally NEHTA was set up to do that job, under COAG auspices and with joint federal, state and territorial funding, and that imperative now resides with the ADHA.

It's a very serious charge to make that the elected officials who determined the need and plan for a national system have been let down by the "experts" who've been well-paid to deliver the desired results. First with NEHTA, and now with the ADHA!

No wonder the poll reflects the strong feeling that Kelsey and Birch, in particular, have been less than effective and surely must go!

Where we go next is the hard question - clearly the original design, from 1999 through Health Connect, then the PCEHR and now the MYHR is outdated, and completely useless.
